亡灵序曲的原名叫The Dawn，是重金属乐队芬兰Dreamtale乐队的一首曲子，这曲子是乐队改编The Rock（勇闯夺命岛主题曲）而来的。曲中的那段话更不是麦迪文说的，是乐队主唱的歌词：
As The last ship sailed towards the distant horizon
I sat there watching on a rock

任思绪如烟般弥散开来
编织成了我的梦境传说
这曲子和亡灵应该说扯不上任何关系啊，就是当年著名Replays论坛将Dhe DAWN这曲子定为亡灵专区区歌，一个礼拜后一个叫飞向云端的网友制作了这部轰动的国人的亡灵序曲的MV。飞向云端最早是魔兽争霸3游戏中不死族的忠实玩家，这也是将MV命名为亡灵序曲的初衷，但是最早制作亡灵序曲MV是以纪念魔兽争霸3中的不死亡灵种族为目的，在魔兽历史背景中即为亡灵天灾和其领导者死亡骑士阿尔萨斯，随着魔兽世界在中国的兴起和普及，大量魔兽世界中亡灵族（即被遗忘者）玩家将其奉为种族的象征歌曲，以至于亡灵序曲MV成为魔兽世界玩家心中魔兽世界歌曲的代表作，也导致许多人误把The Dawn这首曲子的中文名称称作亡灵序曲。其实，抛开《魔兽争霸》的游戏背景和亡灵族拥趸的偏爱，单就曲子本身的意境和倾向而言，“亡灵序曲”这一名字在字面上倒是与曲子甚为贴切，甚至比原名更好地体现出了该曲作为金属音乐的特性。尤其是曲中作者借麦迪文之口配音为歌词的那段感觉低沉的独白，使曲中的虚无和神秘表现出一种诗的意境，无怪乎在国内人们更愿意将其称为“亡灵序曲”。兄弟，都是手打的，很累，追点分吧，谢谢！
